Hired Dungeon Tycoon — Deleting your data

Today there is nothing of yours for us to delete. The game has no accounts and no server of ours; everything it keeps is on your own device — and the game can remove all of it, from Settings, in two taps. This page exists so the way out is written down before there is ever anything to find, and so you do not have to install the app to read it.

What the game keeps, and where

Your save — save.json, in the app's own folder on your device.
Your language and sound settings — settings.json, same folder, separate file.
That you accepted the terms — in the operating system's per-app preference store.

None of it is copied anywhere. We hold no record of you, so there is no account to close and no request to make of us.

Delete everything, from inside the game

Settings → Delete everything, then confirm. It removes all three: your save, your language and sound settings, and the record that you accepted the terms. The game then starts as if it had been installed today — which is why the first screen asks you to accept the terms again. Nothing is kept back.

Or clear only your progress

Settings → Erase is the other button, and it is a different thing on purpose: it clears your dungeon, gold, rooms and season progress and starts you over, while keeping your language and volume. Starting a game over is not resetting your phone, and having to find the language again every time would be a small cruelty.

One sentence apart: Erase is a new run. Delete everything is a new install.

Uninstalling also works

Removing the app removes all three as well. On Android, uninstalling takes the app's private folder and its preferences with it; the same is true on iOS. There is no cloud backup, so nothing is left behind and nothing comes back if you reinstall.

When there is ever an account — not yet

Two planned features would change this, and neither exists today:

A leaderboard through Google Play Games or Game Center. That account is Google's or Apple's, not ours. You delete it, or remove this game from it, in their settings — we would link you there from inside the game, and we could never delete it for you.
Player groups, which would need a server of ours holding a name you chose, a group membership and the scores that go with it. That is the only case where we would hold something of yours.

If player groups ship, then on the day they do:

deletion will be available inside the game, in Settings;
this page will do it too, without installing the app;
this page will say exactly what is held, how long a deletion takes, and what (if anything) is kept afterwards and why.

We are writing that down now rather than when it is needed, because a deletion path invented under deadline is the kind that quietly does less than it says.

Her şeyi silmek — oyunun içinden

Ayarlar → Her şeyi sil, sonra onaylayın. Üçünü birden kaldırır: kaydınızı, dil ve ses ayarlarınızı, ve şartları kabul ettiğiniz bilgisini. Oyun bundan sonra bugün kurulmuş gibi başlar — ilk ekranın sizden şartları yeniden kabul etmenizi istemesinin sebebi bu. Geride hiçbir şey bırakılmaz.

Ya da yalnızca ilerlemeyi sıfırlamak

Ayarlar → Kaydı sil öteki düğmedir ve bilerek başka bir şeydir: zindanınızı, altınınızı, odalarınızı ve sezon ilerlemenizi temizleyip sizi baştan başlatır, ama dil ve ses seviyenizi korur. Bir oyuna yeniden başlamak telefonu sıfırlamak değildir; her seferinde dili yeniden bulmak zorunda kalmak küçük bir eziyet olurdu.

Tek cümlelik farkı: Kaydı sil yeni bir oyun, Her şeyi sil yeni bir kurulum.

Uygulamayı kaldırmak da olur

Uygulamayı kaldırmak da üçünü birden siler. Android'de kaldırmak, onun özel klasörünü ve tercihlerini de götürür; iOS'ta da öyle. Bulut yedeği olmadığı için geride bir şey kalmaz ve yeniden kurarsanız hiçbiri geri gelmez.

Bir gün hesap olduğunda — henüz yok

Planlanan iki özellik bunu değiştirir ve ikisi de bugün yok:

Sıralama tablosu — Google Play Games ya da Game Center üzerinden. O hesap Google'ın ya da Apple'ın, bizim değil. Onu silmeyi ya da bu oyunu oradan çıkarmayı kendi ayarlarından yaparsınız — oyunun içinden sizi oraya yönlendiririz, ama sizin yerinize asla silemeyiz.
Oyuncu grupları — bize ait bir sunucunun seçtiğiniz adı, grup üyeliğinizi ve ona bağlı puanları tutmasını gerektirir. Size ait bir şeyi bizim tuttuğumuz tek durum budur.

Oyuncu grupları çıkarsa, çıktığı gün:

silme oyunun içinden, Ayarlar'dan yapılabilecek;
bu sayfa da yapabilecek, uygulamayı kurmanıza gerek kalmadan;
bu sayfa neyin tutulduğunu, silmenin ne kadar sürdüğünü ve sonrasında bir şey kalıyorsa neyin, neden kaldığını tam olarak yazacak.

Bunu gerektiği anda değil şimdiden yazıyoruz, çünkü son anda uydurulmuş bir silme yolu, söylediğinden sessizce daha azını yapan türdendir.
